Berniece Wilson
  Berniece B. Wilson, 95, of Springfield, formerly of Piper City, died at 12:05 a.m., Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at
St. John’s Hospital in Springfield. Her funeral mass was held on Saturday, May 3, 2008 at St. Peters Catholic
Church with Rev. John Balluff officiating. Burial was in the Calvary Cemetery in Piper City.
  Berniece was born on August 5, 1912 in rural Piper City to Albert and Mary Ann (Ziehr) Bouhl. Her childhood
was spent in Piper City. She graduated from Piper City High School.
  She married Harold Michael Wilson on May 5, 1931 in Piper City. He died on March 2, 1983.
  Survivors include one daughter Susan (Jack) Hocker of Springfield; one grandson, Michael Rani of Springfield;
several step-grandchildren and great grandchildren and one sister, Grace Barz of Rantoul.
  Berniece is preceded in death by three sisters, Irene Corkill, Margaret Wilson and Ruth Corcke and two
brothers, Frank and Wayne Bouhl.
  Berniece lived in Piper city for 83 years. She worked four years at Holligan’s Bakery, 11 ½ years for Koestner’
s Restaurant and 27 ½ years as the Piper City School Lunch Manager and head cook, all in Piper City.
  She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Piper City. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo and flower
gardening.
  Memorials may be made to St. Peter Catholic Church, St. John’s Hospice or the Donor’s Choice.

Victor French
  Victor E. French, 86, of Clifton, formerly of the Chicago Area, died on Friday, May 2, 2008 at Provena St. Mary’
s Hospital in Kankakee. Services were held on Monday, May 5, 2008 at the Knapp Funeral Home in Clifton with
Rev. Robert Klonowski officiating. Burial was in the Clifton Cemetery.
  Victor was born on February 9, 1922 in Chicago to O.H. and Marie (Erb) French. He married Lynn White in
LaGrange on June 3, 1950. She survives.
  Other survivors include one daughter, Peggie Marie (Delmar) Stille of Belton, MO; one son, Lewis (Jane)
French of Naperville; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
  He is preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
  Mr. French served in the U.S. Navy and served during WWII. He was an Electrical Test Mechanic and of the
Lutheran Faith.
